by Richard Blumenthal, MS, NCC, LMHC An area of concern for many in the medical profession is that, for treatment to be effective, patients are, at some point, bound to be left to their own devices, without constant, daily attention from nurses and doctors. During these times, they may forget or choose not to follow professional advice in taking medicine, excercising, modifying behavior, avoiding certain foods, etc. Since HypnoSoft offers the opportunity to customize the hypnosis suggestions, it presents a new method for combatting the compliance dilemma. Physicians, nurse practitioners and others who instruct patients on how and what they need to do when away from the medical setting, may actually devise a specific list of desired behaviors to be included in the custom suggestion portion of the hypnosis. These medically designed suggestions may be entered in the HypnoSoft hypnosis creation page pertaining to "Create or add your own topic." Please note, HypnoSoft allows the user to choose a prepared topic and add these custom suggestions, as well. This means that a surgery patient, for example, can choose the "After Surgery" topic and also include the medically designed custom suggestions in the same hypnosis - an excellent combination for compliance.
