About the Inventor of HypnoSoft™

On May 20, 2003, Richard A. Blumenthal, MS, NCC, LMHC was awarded United States patent 6,565,504 for his breakthrough invention of hypnosis software. The official title of the patent is, "Method and apparatus to create and induce a self-created hypnosis". The patent is the result of many years of effort and research, the original idea having been copyrighted on August 15, 1994. Mr. Blumenthal's article entitled, "Rational Suggestion Therapy" (RST), provided the theoretical foundation for hypnosis software. Published in the April, 1983 issue of Medical Hypnoanalysis, RST details the synthesis of Rational Emotive Therapy with the principles of suggestion and autosuggestion. In the article, the author expresses his gratitude to Dr. Albert Ellis, with whom he studied Rational Emotive Therapy, and Dr. Daniel Araoz, with whom he studied hypnosis and counseling.

Mr. Blumenthal holds a Master of Science Degree in Counseling from Long Island University. He is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Return to HypnoSoft Online Self Hypnosis Software
